Glinda Practice Details

Introduction:

Glinda Watts brings to her practice over 20 years' experience as an addictions counselor, an herbalist, and an energy worker.  Glinda has been described as a "gifted healer", and an "intelligent, grounded herbalist" by her clients.  Glinda's practice is an eclectic blend of the proven principles of traditional healing practices complemented by a form of spiritual healing work known as Spiritual Response Therapy.  Together, the two modalities address healing of body, mind and soul.  Glinda works best with those clients who are willing to take responsibility for their own health, and to look at the ways that they may be co-creating the health problems that they are currently manifesting.

Background and Qualifications:

After graduating from the University of Memphis with a degree in Psychology, Glinda's early years in healing work began as a volunteer working with heroin-addicted Vietnam Veterans in a VA hospital.  After that, another 5 years of work in community mental health gave Glinda the chance to observe how the mind can create imbalance and dis-ease.  In the late 1980's, Glinda began her herbal studies officially with Rosemary Gladstar, and throughout the 1990s, Glinda studied throughout the country with some of the best herbal teachers in the US.  Finally in 1999, Glinda moved to Bisbee Arizona where she studied at the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine with Michael Moore, the acknowledged Grandfather of the American Herbal Renaissance.  After graduating with a degree in clinical herbalism, Glinda went on to become one of the original members of the Healing Arts Medical Group in Memphis, TN.  In 2004, Glinda applied for and received professional membership in the American Herbalists Guild.  Professional membership in the Guild is a peer-review process and is awarded only to those who demonstrate mastery of Western clinical herbalism.  Glinda has been a practicing herbalist since 1998.

Services Offered:

In addition to Western herbal medicine, Glinda practices a form of energy work known as Spiritual Response Therapy.  Together, the two modalities are able to address the maladies of body, mind and soul for complete healing on a deep level.
