- My Interests: I am a California state licensed Acupuncturist, and a practitioner of Traditional Jewish and Chinese medicine, CranioSacral therapy, SomatoEmotional release, and Bioset allergy desensitization. I am a student of the great medieval Jewish scholar, doctor and philosopher, Rabbi Moses Maimonides (the Rambam), and have in my library all ten of the Rambam's books on medicine. I am a graduate of Dongguk Royal University (2004) with a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine, as well as a graduate of Yeshiva University in 1974, cum laude, with a BA in Speech and Drama, as well as an AA in Jewish Studies. Post-graduate, I participated in a 2 year program of advanced talmudic study at Yeshivat Sha'alavim in Israel. I have completed a number of seminars taught by the Upledger institute in CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional release, as well as completing the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) seminar with an externship attended at Beit Teshuva in Los Angeles.
As well as maintaining a busy practice in Los Angeles, I am a writer, and the founder and moderator of the international professional on-line Yahoo discussion group: traditional Jewish Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. My articles have appeared in The Jewish Journal of Los Angeles, The San Diego Jewish Times and The Ohio Jewish Bulletin. I currently teach at the Mesivta of Los Angeles.
