Medical Qi Gong

Discussions about the use of qi gong in healing.

organ meridians

One of our fellow Qigong students had recent surgery to remove a gall bladder.  It raised the question in our class as to what happens now, to the Yang meridian that nourised the gall bladder?  Suppose the same issue would be applicable to the loss of a spleen.

Thanks.

Stomach-locking technique for weight loss

In Tom Tam's PiGu book on weight loss, he mentioned about using qigong to lockup a patient's stomach by sending chi to the middle-warmer to close up the stomach.  Can someone explain in detail how this is done as a practitioner?  Is it palming qi into someone's "middle-warmer"?  How about the stomach locking technique?

Thanks,

QiGong and weight loss

I started doing QiGong about 2 weeks ago. The past couple of days I have had a burning/hot feeling – off and on – in the area of my left kidney and spleen. I have been checked out by a doctor and there is nothing wrong with my spleen or kidneys. And it's not structural or muscular. I am overweight and seem to have a spleen Qi deficiency. and stagnant qi and blood flow. Is is possible that the feeling is qi moving through those areas? Any information on this would be great. Thanks!
