Qiang Li Yin Qiao Jie Du Wan - Cold and Flu Herbal Formula

Uses: Cold and Flu Treatment and Prevention.  "Yin Qiao", or in this case Qiang Li Yin Qiao Du Wan, is a classic formula for the cold and flu - both treatment and prevention.  It is best used when symptoms first arise, so this is a popular formula to be kept in peoples homes at all times.  When taken at the first signs of drainage, cough, headache, achiness, etc. the formula excels at clearing these symptoms before they prolong or turn into deeper conditions such as sinus infections, bronchitis, etc.  For people with stronger initial heat signs, stronger fever, warm to the touch, etc. there is a modified version, Ling Qiao Jie Du Wan, which includes this formula plus some additional heat clearing herbs that can be more helpful in those cases.
Yin Qiao, being a classic Chinese formula, has been studied and researchers have found that the formula has both anti-viral and anti-bacterial effects on the body, that it reduces inflammation, and from a Chinese perspective will serve to strengthen the immunity to prevent future attackes.*

Ingredients: Flos Lonicerae (Honeysuckle Flower, Jin Yin Hua), Fructus Forsythiae (Forsythia, Lian Qiao), Herba Menthae (Peppermint, Bo He), Herba Schizonepetae (Jing Jie), Semen Sojae Preparatum (Fermented Soybean, Dan Dou Chi), Fructus Arctii (Edible Burdock, Niu Bang Zi), Radix Platycodi (Balloon Flower, Jie Geng), Herba Lophatheri (Bamboo Leaf, Dan Zhu Ye), Radix Glycyrrhizae (Chinese Licorice Root, Gan Cao).

Recommended Dosage: Take 5 to 7 pills or tablets 2 to 3 times a day for adults at the beginning of a cold or flu. At full dose, one bottle renders a 10-day supply. Adjust dosage for children according to weight.

Caution: Generally you should discontinue all other herbal formulas when you have a cold/flu, particularly tonics.  Avoid this formula if your body feels very cold.  You should consult with an herbalist or physician before taking if you have hypertension and/or diabetes.  For best results avoid alcohol, spicy foods, and cigarettes while taking this formula.(200 tablets)
