pre heaven and post heaven

hi every 1 I m first year TCM student in CH,I would like to ask if any 1 knows about the pre heaven and post heaven? wht is that? and wht relation it has to jing, shen , QI ??? thx in advance

Pre and Post Heaven

Pre and Post Heaven generally describe the two aspects of qi and/or jing - one that is acquired at birth from your parents (i.e. pre heaven) and one that is acquired afterwards (i.e. post heaven). The basics are in our qi article - http://www.yinyanghouse.com/theory/chinese/what_is_qi
