numbness in leg

After returning home from a trip overseas, and many hours (almost 24 hrs.) of sitting on an airplane, and waiting at plane terminals

inbetween flights, I found that my right leg was numb in the inner back area of the leg when I got home.  There is no pain, just some

numbness.  It has been over 3 weeks since this happened.  I've had a few chiropractic treatments, but she couldn't find any problems in my

lower back or anywhere.  Can you please explain this in TCM terms, and recommend any points that might help?

The numbness and the location indicates some kind of nerve involvement in the L4/L5 area of the lower back.  The low back pain treatment section covers some of the more common diagnoses and treatment protocols.

Most often needling and deep tuina in the huatuo area of T7, L2, L4, L5, and into the sacrum along with points such as UB 60, UB 40, GB 34, GV 20, etc. will alleviate this.  It's probably a compression injury to the nerve from extended sitting.
