The Collective Unconscious
This is a comment on: The Collective Unconscious.
I am experiencing major, ongoing, visible connects via story and words themselves that simply astound me and there is a backstory associated with this. I keep an ongoing record that is now thousands of pages going back many years. I KNOW and can prove, we are all of us more connected to each other than we ever thought possible by way of story, namely, this Diary.
I can say that the story I am recording is verifiable in most ways, excluding my thoughts, which do connect at times to experiential events. In all writing classes in which I have been a participant, this is an observable phenomenon: namely in poems and in content, in dress, etc. we are exclaiming, WOW!
For example, someone uses a truly unusual word in a poem, and the next person uses that very word.
For example: in a class a woman reads about a Buddhist monk walking down the street. We all exclaim as we look outside at that moment and a Buddhist monk is walking down the street.
I reach for a magazine called Orion and at that moment on I Tunes I hear Sweet Wednesday, a musical duo, using the word "Orion" in a song, synchronously.
I don't believe Carl Jung was correct. I KNOW he was correct and there is a power here, called the collective unconscious so I do believe in the healing connectivity, the downloading of energy, that Tom is talking about.
Now we have to realize we are not all healed but that there is healing potential in what he is doing and some are experiencing the miraculous, or feeling much better. I read critiques on line and I have to say, then these critiques must be coming from people who are not experiencing, so visibly, so often, "my life", because there is no way these events could occur with such rapidity in one life and not be noticed and honored.
