Is it okay to Tong Ren tap around the CV14 area. I have a blockage in that area. I know it is a large network of nerves. If not is there another way to address that area.
Yes you can use the Tong Ren in a local pain/blockage way as you are doing. However, the vagus nerve connects with the celiac plexus and we generally use the points in the ST 10, 11, 12 area to have a stronger effect on this important nerve and related blockages in the abdomen. You may get further along with using those points. CV 14 is more for heart/anxiety issues and generally we use the back points to effect the nerves with the hammer, the front points we often use the laser to tonify those areas, particularly points such as CV 4, CV 6, CV 12 - with CV 12 possibly being helpful in your case.
Uses:Liver Disease, Hepatitis B, Abdominal Pain/Distension. Gan Bing Zhi Ben Wan (Gan Bing Zhi Ben Pian), literally "Liver Disease Recovery Pills" in Chinese, invigorates the spleen and tonifies the kidney, removes toxin and promotes the blood circulation. The Chinese medicine may be used for chronic hepatitis B, hepatitis with splenomegaly or post-hepatitis fatigue, poor appetite, nausea, disliking of greasy good, pain in the right hypochondriac region, and abdominal distension.
