Locations
SP 1 On the medial side of the big toe .1 cun posterior to the corner of the nail
SP 2 On medial side of big toe, distal and inferior to the 1st Metatarsaldigital joint in a depression at the juncture of the red and white skin
SP 3 Proximal and inferior to the head of the 1st metatarsalphalangeal joint in a depression at the junction of the red and white skin
SP 4 In a depression distal and inferior to the base of the 1st metatarsal bone at the junction of the red and white skin
SP 5 In a depression distal and inferior to the medial malleoulus midway between the tuberosity of the navicular bone and the tip of the medial malleoulus
SP 6 3 cun directly above the tip of the medial malleoulus on the posterior border of the tibia ** No Needle in Pregnancy **
SP 7 6 cun from the tip of the medial malleoulus on line connecting tip of medial malleoulus and SP 9 on the posterior border of the tibia (3 cun above SP 6)
SP 8 3 cun below SP 9 on line connecting SP 9 and medial malleoulus
SP 9 On the lower border of the medial condyle of the tibia, level with the tuberosity of the tibia
SP 10 With knee flexed 2 cun above the superior medial border of the patella on the bulge of the medial portion of quadriceps femoris (vastus medialis)
SP 11 6 cun above SP 10 on the line connecting SP 12 to SP 10
SP 12 Superior to the lateral end of the inguinal groove, lateral to the pulsating external iliac artery (joins femoral artery) level with the symphysis pubis 3.5 cun lateral to CV2 ** AA **
SP 13 .7 cun laterosuperior to SP 12 and 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline
SP 14 1.3 cun below SP 15 and 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline, on lateral side of rectus abdominis
SP 15 4 cun lateral to the center of the umbilicus, lateral to rectus abdominus
SP 16 3 cun above SP 15 and 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline (CV 11)
SP 17 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline in the 5th ICS
SP 18 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline in the 4th ICS
SP 19 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline in the 3rd ICS
SP 20 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline in the 2nd ICS
SP 21 6 cun below the axilla, midway between the axilla and the free end of the 11th rib on mid-axillary
