LV 12 Acupuncture Point - Ji Mai - Liver Meridian

  • Chinese Name Ji Mai
  • English Name Urgent Pulse

  • Location: Lateral to the pubic tubercle, lateral and inferior to ST 30, in the inguinal groove where the femoral artery is palpable, 2.5 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

  • Precautions: Avoid Femoral Artery. Some texts precaution against needling this point and recommend moxa and others recommend the opposite.

  • Actions & Effects:
  • Local Point.
  • May be useful for groin pain.
